Your article was exceptionally well-written and highly engaging. You guys are doing a very hard work for engaging a common person to read. I didn’t feel like I was simply reading a stock analysis, but rather as if I were watching a story unfold, wondering what might happen next and reflecting on the company’s past journey. Truly a captivating way to present insights.
Thanks, Prabhat. Glad that you found it valuable. As we wrote in our blog, a thin line separates deep value from a value trap. Hence, we at ZN will not propose that all portfolio stocks be in this theme. But a couple of stocks from this theme in the portfolio can be there.
Beauty. Just love how you connect dots right from Hollywood to bollywood to political memes which reminds me of Morgan housels words “only the best storyteller wins” . Had fun reading this one
Thanks, Mahavir bhai for your love and support always. Morgan Housel is on a different planet altogether. No comparison. The idea is that while the research should be as deep as possible, it should be fun for us to write and also fun for the reader to read. Then only it can be done consistently. Motivation has a short shelf life.
Very well written - i had looked into Repco in around 2019 and kept away from it primarily due to concentration risk (Tamil Nadu focused disbursements), the category to which it was lending to primarily then and also had done a bit of scuttlebutt - Repco bank branch was close to my house in Chennai; they were also kind of lender of the last resort i.e. those for whom other more popular lending companies such as HDFC Ltd rejected higher loan disbursals, Repco would sanction a greater amount - this was a future red flag for me; another housing finance stock was available cheaper and checked most of my investment criteria boxes then and so i bought it instead :)
Loved the research done ...keep researching and writing :)
Very well written and beautifully woven into a story.
The best part of story is that stories tend to stick and hence have a recall value. Atleast for me, recalling numbers and figures is difficult. But, now I know a lot more about Repco and also have been nudged to watch the movie Prestige. 😀

Keep up the good work Team Zen Nivesh.
Thanks, Ashutosh. Glad that you liked it.
And that's the intent, stories stick in our mind naturally. Not numbers.
OMG, you have not watched Prestige.🤯
Sadly no.. :-(
Leave everything and watch Prestige. Investing and research can wait.
Yes..
Scheduled for the weekend!!
